Referral Process Information

The following information may or may not apply to you. It is meant as informational only.

Our referral turnaround time is about 5-6 weeks out. Our teams are working diligently to process all referrals in the order they are received.

  1. If you have a PPO or Medicare Part B plan, please contact the specialist office as this insurance tends to not require authorization or approval for consultation.

  2. If your health plan is OPTUM, please contact your insurance to verify if the referral has been completed due to their internal referral process.

  3. If you are being referred out to physical therapy, massage therapy (i.e., ATI, Olympic sports, and spine), or Lark Dermatology; you can contact your referred provider since they obtain their authorization.

    • The same applies to any imaging requested by your PCP sent to TRA, Diagnostic imaging, or Rayus radiology. You may contact their office to get your appointment scheduled, as they will obtain the approval before your imaging.
  4. Have you checked your referral status on MyChart? If you have not checked your MyChart before calling our main-line, we would suggest checking your MyChart beforehand to see if your provider has already approved the request.
