Kent Walker, DO
In order to heal properly, the body’s spiritual, mental and physical components must be in proper balance. My philosophy of care is to listen carefully to my patients; they will tell me what’s wrong with them and I’ll be able to better care for them. As I guide my patients through the journey of healthcare, I strive to be caring and compassionate.
My career in medicine began in 1987 after graduating from the University of Osteopathic Medical Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. I am board-certified and I specialize in the areas of family practice, sports medicine and occupational medicine. In addition to traditional medical care, I also provide osteopathic manipulation and physical rehabilitation, which aid the healing process. Furthermore, I’m trained in alternative medicine, which focuses on the use of herbs, homeopathic methods and vitamin therapy.
Away from the office, I lead an active lifestyle with my wife, six children and five grandchildren. My favorite activities include family ski trips, barbecuing, boating and reading. Family relationships and service to my community are extremely important in my life.
