Dr. Alexandria Vladimir

Internal medicine is different from family medicine in that I typically don’t treat children and maternity patients although my approach is still very family-centric. I enjoy connecting with people. Every detail my patient shares with me is part of a care plan puzzle we put together. You’ll find that I’m straight-forward in my conversations while fairly laid back. My goal is to help my patients feel comfortable and heard when they are with me. They can expect that I approach each day in the clinic with the same goal – to do my very best to care for my patients. I will advocate for you and believe that everything is fine in moderation (most of the time).

My family moved to the United States from Romania when I was 8 years old. I grew up enjoying mystery movies because I loved the process of gathering information and piecing things together which eventually led me to New York University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then returned to Romania to attend medical school at Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy where I also met my husband. We soon moved back to New York where I completed my residency program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine while he pursued his education as vascular surgeon. In 2008, we moved to Washington state after my husband accepted a job here. I joined a local private practice team until the founder retired in 2016 which lead me to Sound Family Medicine.

My husband and I have twin teenage children. We continue to visit relatives in Romania often and speak English and Romanian in our home. I would love to learn more languages and find that I learn best through conversation. Traveling and learning about other cultures excites me. As a family, we’ve traveled to much of Europe with Italy and Spain high on our list for our next trip. We also enjoy skiing at Crystal Mountain and attending our children’s sports games.
