Dr. Alexandra Vladimir practices internal medicine, a medical specialty focused on preventative and diagnostic care for adults. With her focus on providing care for adults, while she does not typically treat children and maternity patients, her approach is still very family-centric. She enjoys connecting with people. Every detail her patient shares with her is part of a puzzle to put together. You’ll find that she’s straight-forward in her conversations, while fairly laid back. She will advocate for you and believes that everything is fine in moderation (most of the time).
Dr. Vladimir’s family moved to the United States from Romania when she was 8 years old. She grew up enjoying mystery movies because she loved the process of gathering information and piecing things together which eventually led her to New York University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She moved back to Romania to attend medical school at Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, then returned to New York to complete her residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She moved to Washington in 2008, where she joined a local private practice.
She and her husband have twin teenage children. They continue to visit relatives in Romania often and speak English and Romanian in their home. She would love to learn more languages and finds that she learns best through conversation. Traveling and learning about other cultures excites her. As a family, they have traveled to much of Europe, and also enjoy skiing at Crystal Mountain.
