Heather Hokanson, MSN, ARNP
I was raised in the Bonney Lake area, and earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University. Following graduation, I joined the Army, and spent the following five years in Fairbanks, Alaska, working in the areas of surgery and labor and delivery.
I became a member of the staff at Sound Family Medicine’s Hartland Clinic in 2009. In between Alaska and Sound Family Medicine, I worked in a women’s health clinic in Federal Way and at Good Samaritan in labor and delivery, postpartum, and the nursery. In 2008, I also I earned my masters in family practice from P.L.U.
As the mom of three boys, I can empathize with my patients who are dealing with the joys and challenges of work, parenthood and life. In my personal life, I’m active in my church and enjoy spending time with my family hiking and biking. I’m also the troop leader for my sons’ Cub Scout Pack.
