Dr. Stacy Merrifield provides family care with an emphasis on primary care and obstetrics. She decided to go into family medicine because she liked the variety it provides. Offering full-scope family medicine is a wonderful opportunity and her goal as a healthcare provider is to care for the entire family – newborns, grandparents, and everyone in between. Her favorite aspect of family practice is building and cultivating relationships with patients and seeing multiple generations.
As a physician she seeks to provide her patients with a wide range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care as well as comprehensive obstetric services. She also offers her patients osteopathic manipulation, a full-body system of hands-on techniques to help alleviate pain, restore function, and promote health and well-being.
She went to the University of Washington for her undergrad where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and General Studies emphasis on Sports and Health. Following graduation, she went on to receive her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Tacoma Family Medicine.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafting, outdoor activities and traveling.
