Michaela Batalon (Kusumi), PA-C joins Sound Family Medicine with an extensive background in the clinical setting and a huge heart for the medical field. After spending 7 years as a clinical coordinator with infectious diseases in the solid organ transplant division, Michaela discovered her passion to become a family medicine Physician Assistant. Michaela is committed to community service and has volunteered with The Northwest Kidney Center for several years. In addition, she actively participates in many health events that bring access of care to the homeless across King County. She is also a member of the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants and The American Academy of Physician Assistants.
In her free time, you will find Michaela mentoring other UW alma mater students that are studying for PA school. She loves teaching and pouring her knowledge into others that have interest in becoming a Physician Assistant. Michaela also enjoys traveling, playing board games and spending time with her family and dog, Mr. Peanut Butter.
