Ms. Henderson was born in Tacoma and grew up in a military family living in Japan until her father retired in 1969 bringing the family back to the Pacific Northwest. She finished high school in Tacoma and started her health care career as an RN in 1977, working in the neonatal intensive care unit at Tacoma General. She returned to the University of Washington and completed her training with Medex Northwest in 1987 as a physician assistant. She has been practicing in both urgent care and primary care medicine since and loves taking care of patients of all ages including pediatrics, adults, geriatrics and women’s health.
The diversity and variety that comes with both primary and urgent care settings is Ms. Henderson’s favorite part of medicine. She also strives to promote health and wellness through guidance and by example in her daily life .
In her free time, she enjoys teaching fitness, exercising, hiking, golfing, volunteering and enjoying the beautiful Northwest. You will find her cheering on the Huskies, Mariners and Seahawks!
