Dr. Parks received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University Medical School in 2002. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism through the National Capital Consortium at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2009. After 24 years of dedicated military service, Dr. Parks is eager to transition his practice to Sound Family Medicine and establish roots in a welcoming community beginning in Spring 2026.
Dr. Parks’ philosophy on patient care mirrors the dynamic relationship between a coach and an athlete, emphasizing education, empowerment, and collaboration. Committed to guiding patients through informed decision-making, Dr. Parks tailors treatment plans to align with their personal goals while upholding the highest standards of evidence-based medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Parks enjoys hobby board gaming with friends and family. As a proud parent of four remarkable children (now pursuing their college educations), Dr. Parks looks forward to witnessing their continued growth and sharing in their milestones, all while contributing expertise to a vibrant new community.
