John Husby, ARNP, started his career in the emergency department as an RN. There he enjoyed the fast pace and immediacy of the experience. He found working to save lives and provide care to people on what was very often the worst day of their lives both rewarding and exciting. After years of working in this critical care setting John saw a real need for better healthcare further upstream. It became clear that many of the emergency room visits he saw could have been avoided with a stronger focus at the primary care level. This recognition began his move to become a primary care provider. Since then, he has not looked back. He has found new rewards and excitement in the complexities of primary care where consideration of the long-term healthcare goals of whole person are the focus.
John enjoys staying up to date with the latest in medical advancements related to family practice and bringing that to the patient experience. In his free time, John, a husband, and a father of two, enjoys exploring the waters of the Puget sound with his family, hiking, and traveling.
