Dr. Jennifer Pense was born and raised in Puyallup and is excited to return and care for people in her hometown. Developing strong patient-physician relationships is the cornerstone for why she chose family medicine. Full spectrum family medicine is unique in its ability to allow physicians to care for patients through all stages of life and create bonds that transcend through the family from infancy to grandparents.
She is a Cougar through and through. She graduated from Washington State University with a degree in food science and human nutrition. She received her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California and completed her family medicine residency at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington.
Her interest in pediatrics, women’s healthcare and obstetrics led her to fellowship training in High-Risk Obstetrics for Family Medicine at Swedish Medical Center and gave her the opportunity to perform cesarean sections. She is excited to bring this service to her patients here at Sound Family Medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, taking advantage of all the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest offers.
