Dr. Donald Sinden joined Sound Family Medicine in 1994 after completing a tour of duty in the Army as a post-flight surgeon and family practice physician at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. While at Fort Sill, he was able to practice a full spectrum of family practice that included obstetrical care. During that time, he was also deployed to serve in Desert Shield/Storm where he was a battalion surgeon for the 218th Artillery Battalion.
After completing his military obligation, he and his family were looking forward to returning to Washington to find a place to practice. They were delighted to find a wonderful group of doctors here in Puyallup that shared his ideals of full family medicine including delivering babies. He and his wife Linda were glad to be back near family after years of moving from place to place while in the military. Their children, Rachel, Andrea, Brian, and Christopher have enjoyed growing up in Puyallup.
He moved from Sound’s Puyallup Hartland clinic to the Sunrise Medical Campus location in 2004. This allowed him to be closer to his many patients living farther south on the hill while giving him the opportunity to take on a leadership role and still practice medicine.
Since coming to Puyallup, he has been blessed with a panel of wonderful patients. He feels privileged to be a part of their lives. While Dr Sinden is retiring from accepting new patients, he is continuing to perform FAA physicals once a month and Vasectomies on occasion. Please speak with our patient service representatives or the front office for current availabilities.
