Biography

As a board-certified family physician, Dr. Daniel Wells is focused on whole person care and whole family care. He tries very hard to be both an advocate and a guide to his patients as they navigate the maze of modern medicine. Being a family doctor, he enjoys a bit of everything including pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, and a variety of procedures. He loves his job with Sound Family Medicine and hopes to be here a long time.

He completed his family medicine training in Sacramento, California at Sutter Health after completing his M.D. at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. He also has a degree in psychology from Brigham Young University. He is pleased to offer his obstetrical skills to his patients and loves delivering babies at Good Samaritan’s Birthing Center. He also participates in medical education as faculty with East Pierce Family Medicine’s Residency program.

When he is not working, he spends most of his time with his family. He has six brilliant children (yes, they get that from their mother) and a full and busy life outside of medicine. He hopes to be able to assist you and your family in being as healthy as possible.

The voice of my patients

“Dr. Wells is always exceptionally patient, personal and he is the reason that I moved my children and husband from their doctors… because I truly trust his opinion and care.

“Dr. Wells was very efficient in the entire process. He also listens well and discusses things about my health in an easy way for me to understand.

Daniel-Wells-MD

“I believe in an “old-fashioned” style of healthcare where family physicians get to know all members of the family and play a central role in coordinating their care.”
