To ensure timely access for our current patients, Sound Family Medicine is no longer accepting new patients for primary care. We are accepting new OB, maternity, Gynecology, and Physiatry patients. Also, for non-life-threatening illness or injuries, our walk-in clinics are open to all patients with accepted insurance or cash pay services.

Celebrating 36 Years in the Community

SFM in the Community

They say time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s certainly true. We’re proud to be celebrating 36 years as your neighbors and family medicine providers.

Celebrating 36 years in Puyallup

It doesn’t seem like that long ago when we opened our doors as South Hill Family Medicine. Our community was a lot smaller back then. One of the last traffic lights between Puyallup and Graham was at the old Earthquake Burger shop. The South Hill Mall didn’t exist yet, and many local kids worked summers picking berries and cucumbers in local fields.

We’re proud members of our community

Things have changed a lot since then, but our commitment to care remains the same. Our providers and employees can be found throughout our community. We’re not just your healthcare providers, we’re your neighbors as well. “You’ll see us coaching or providing medical support at local school sporting events. You’ll see us volunteering in our schools, churches and other youth and community organizations,” said Medical Director Dr. Marc Aversa.

We offer an old-fashioned model of care

“We like to get to know our families well,” said Aversa. ”We want to get to know what’s happening in their lives and learn how to help them stay healthy. “It’s our goal to foster a relationship with our patients that is respectful and compassionate, and to meet our patients where they are in their lives and support their health in ways that make sense for them.”

Our new logo

We’ve done a lot of growing over the last 36 years, and we’ve recently updated our logo to better reflect our patient focus- your whole family. We’re excited that our new logo represents all family members and really shows the continuity of care that we offer.

Learn more about our story

As part of our rebranding celebration, we were all set to sponsor this year’s Meeker Days festival. While the event had to be cancelled due to COVID, our friends at Puyallup Main Street Association produced this video that we think tells our story in a pretty neat way. We’re looking forward to being part of Meeker Days when it returns next year.

Looking forward to many more healthy years

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of caring for your families. We’re excited for what the future holds for all of us.
