2018 is our 14th year awarding scholarships to Puyallup and Bonney Lake area high school seniors pursuing a career in healthcare. Sound Family Medicine has a 30 plus year history in this community, and we are thoroughly pleased to be able to award these five deserving students with a scholarship to help them further their career goals.
The $1,000 scholarship is open to students from Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Sumner, Rogers, and Emerald Ridge High School who demonstrate high academic achievement, a commitment to community and a desire to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. We received countless applications and we are once again awed by the number of dedicated applicants in our community. These students submitted challenging transcripts, countless hours of extracurricular activities and community service, letters of recommendation and thoughtful essays that inspired our team and made it difficult to pick just five.
As tough as the decision was, we feel as though our five winners not only have demonstrated their commitment to their community, but also that they will continue to make a difference in their world through their education and career in healthcare. We are thrilled to introduce you to our 2018 scholarship winners!
